BIOGRAPHY

Megan is a classical and musical theatre soprano and actor. She has lived and sung in London, Glasgow, Brighton and New York. Trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under Mandy McCormack, she graduated from a Masters in Vocal Performance in 2022. Prior to this she studied History and American Studies at the University of Sussex, graduating with a 2:1, and completed a foundation year in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy.​​​

 

Megan has sung with the company of Opera Holland Park for the past three seasons. There, she has been a part of three co-productions with Charles Court Opera: 'The Yeomen of the Guard', 'Ruddigore' (covering the role of Zorah and featuring as a Headless Ghost in the chorus, dubbed 'Steve') and 'HMS Pinafore' (where she was a backing singer, or 'Buttercuppette' to Little Buttercup). In 2022 Megan was an eponymous 'Villi' dancer in Martin Lloyd-Evan's successful production of Puccini's 'Le Villi'.​Other notable roles include Elinor Dashwood in the UK Premiere of 'Sense & Sensibility: The Musical' with Surrey Opera, with music by Neal Hampton and lyrics by Jeffrey Haddow, performed in Redhill and at the beautiful Minack Theatre in Cornwall; Young Heidi in Wimbledon Light Opera's production of 'Follies'; Josephine in 'HMS Pinafore' with Imperial Productions, and Mabel in 'The Pirates of Penzance with the Edinburgh Gilbert & Sullivan Society; Julia in 'The Grand Duke' with Utopia Opera; and her first role which she hopes to return to, Kate/Lilli Vanessi in 'Kiss me, Kate' at Graveney School.  

 

Over the course of her Masters she performed in scenes programmes as Ilia (Idomeneo), Sophie (Werther), Frasquita (Carmen) and the Lady with the Hand Mirror (Postcard from Morocco). While at Sussex Megan took on creative roles, musically directing Cabaret and acting as Vocal Coach and Chorus Master for Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical.

 

Megan has been studying with John Evans since returning to London. Alongside singing, she is a cellist and plays with Lambeth Orchestra and the London Opera Company.  â€‹â€‹â€‹
